What Theatre Gives to Young People

As an educational theatre company, we know that theatre can be a powerful tool to nurture your child’s imagination and self-confidence – while making new friends!

Here is Founder and Producing Artistic Director Jeanne Harrison on the value of theatre for young people at the 2021 ArtsFairfax Arts Awards, when Traveling Players won the Arts Education Award.

  • Studio Day Camps (current grades 2-5) – Expand your confidence & imagination while making friends!
    • No audition, just join!
  • Sleepaway Camps & Conservatories (current grades 4-12) – Challenges for actors and technicians of all levels!
    • Audition Required
  • Shakespeare Troupe (current grades 9-12) – Recognized by the NEA for “offering challenges unlike any other pre-college program in the nation.”
