A Typical Day at Camp

DAILY SCHEDULE
  • 8:00 AM — “Good Morning Traveling Players!”
  • 8:30 AM — Breakfast 
  • 9:30 AM — Morning Revels – come together as a camp for games and activities
  • 10:00 AM — Warmups – Physical and Vocal Training to get you ready for rehearsal
  • 10:20 AM — Morning Rehearsal – Developing character and relationship, choreographing fight scenes, practicing acting techniques, exploring blocking, and running scenes and lines.
  • 12:15 PM — Lunch
  • 1:00 PM — Class Time – Our talented faculty teach a rotating schedule of classes. Some examples include
    • Design (Costumes, Scenic Painting, Puppetry)
    • Voice & Text (Breathing, Resonance, Articulation, Projection)
    • Improvisation (Imagination, Group Mind, Impulses)
    • Movement & Stage Combat (Unarmed, Swordplay, Slapstick – don’t worry, no one gets hurt!)
  • 2:00 PM — Afternoon Rehearsal
  • 4:00 PM — Free Period – Hit the lake, relax in a hammock, write letters home, or memorize your lines!
  • 6:00 PM — Dinner
  • 7:00 PM — Evening Rehearsal or Evening Revels
    • Evening Revels – Share your work with the other ensembles, go to an improv jam, an open mic night, play capture the flag or take a dip in the lake!
  • 9:00 PM — Return to Lodges
  • 10:00 PM — Lights Out (Myths)
  • 10:30 PM – Lights Out (Thespians)
  • 11:00 PM – Lights Out (Shakespeare Ensemble & Troupe)
WEEKENDS

The weekends are the best time to play, and we’ve got tons of fun activities for you.  You can dominate the competition with your team during Color Wars, dress up fancy-like and party at Camp Prom, strut your stuff at the Talent Show, and sleep-out under the stars!  We’ll have expert guest (like fight choreographer Casey Kaleba) and can venture out for a field trip to zipline.  Right on campus, we have hiking, lake activities (a “blob”!), tie-dye, and plenty of s’mores!

  • 8:30 AM — Breakfast (optional)
  • 9:30 AM — Master Class – Stage Combat, yoga, stand-up comedy
  • 12:00 PM — Pack your lunch
  • 12:30 PM — Go on an adventure or decompress!
  • 4:30 PM — Rest Hour
  • 6:00 PM — Dinner
  • 7:00 PM — Evening Activity (Saturday) or Evening Rehearsal (Sunday)
  • 9:30/10:00 PM — Return to Lodges
  • 10:00 PM — Lights Out (Myths)
  • 10:30 PM – Lights Out (Thespians)
  • 11:00 PM – Lights Out (Shakespeare Ensemble & Troupe)
