Missing your camp friends?

Never Fear - Fall Classes are Here!

Summer may be over, but Fall Classes and Plays are the best way to stay connected with old friends & make new ones while building on the skills you learned at camp!

As always, classes are small, innovative, supportive, and rigorous.  It's just the environment to make real growth as an actor, and just the community to find like-minded friends.

We have both class and performance opportunities options, tailor-made to enhance your growth as an actor. Be sure to sign up before Saturday, September 14 at midnight to claim your back-to-school  Early Bird Discount!  Don't delay — space is limited, and savvy parents have begun registering already!

CLASSES

Improv

Groundlings: Grades 2-5

Step into acting with a fun class full of improvtheatre games, and creative storytelling.  Perfect for beginners and performers with a bit of experience!

Preparing a Role

Thespians: Grades 5-8

Focusing on depth instead of breadth, the class will read one play and perform scenes from them. Students will hone their analytical skills and spark their creative impulses to flesh out their characters so that they truly live on stage in front of us.

Scene Study & Acting Technique

Dramatists: Grades 8-11

*8th graders by instructor permission only

Sharpen and deepen your acting skills by rehearsing and performing a scene from a contemporary play.  Using theatre games, textual analysis, and physical and vocal exercises, students will learn to develop a distinct character.

Monologues

Dramatists: Grades 11-12

Perfect for college or professional auditions, select and hone two monologues that showcase your strengths as a performer. Learn the advanced acting techniques that allow you to present your best work to directors and casting agents, or expand your range by tackling new character types.

Ryan's PlayList

Dramatists: Grades 10-12

How do we as theatre artists approach plays with difficult themes and embedded biases? Traveling Players director, Ryan Fields, will lead this class in discussing and reading contemporary plays.

AUDITIONS

Learned Ladies

By invitation only

The illustrious poet Trissotan has come to stay with the lady Philamente and her family - and with him, he's brought all the good things in life: learning, knowledge, panache, and style.  So what if he's also a treacherous, self-serving scoundrel?  Will Philamente's long-suffering family unmask the fraud before it's too late?  Or will Trissotan get away with Philamente's money, savings - and even her daughter's hand in marriage?

This is a remount of our Summer 2024 production. Auditions are open to any camper who participated in the Thespian Ensemble this summer.
